Customers

Everyone entitled to a tool and how; and support, from the customer's row.

The Customers page lists everyone entitled to a tool — by licence, subscription, trial or grant — with how, since when, and whether something needs attention. A customer who signed in with Google, or connected it, appears with the name and picture Google holds for them; everyone else by their address and initials. A customer's page shows what they hold, their devices, and a timeline of what happened.

Support, without leaving

Each thing a customer holds has its actions beside it, each confirmed in a dialog that says the consequence once:

  • Refund — the whole payment, with one of Stripe's reasons. The licence is revoked at once; the money reaches the card in five to ten days. Stripe keeps its processing fee; the Wall's fee is returned. A team licence's refund revokes every seat under it.
  • Resend key — a new key to the customer's address. The Wall keeps only a hash of a key, so a resend is a replacement; devices already activated keep working.
  • Extend — a trial or a granted access, to a later day.
  • Cancel — a subscription, at the end of the period (they keep what they paid for) or now. Keep undoes a cancellation that has not taken effect.
  • Revoke and Release — a licence, a grant, or one device's slot.
  • Grant access — access without a payment, for a while or for good.

A licence under dispute shows as such, with a link to the dispute in Stripe; it cannot be refunded while the bank holds the amount.
